PZCR Legal at the XXth CEIA Congress: ‘International Arbitration and Economic Value: From Financial Strategy to Effective Enforcement’
José Páez, partner at PZCR Legal, attended the XXth Congress of the Spanish and Ibero-American Arbitration Club (CEIA), held in Madrid from 31 May to 2 June
Once again, the Spanish and Ibero-American Arbitration Club (CEIA) brought together at its annual congress in Madrid, now in its 20th edition, a large number of participants from around the world.
The main theme of the XX CEIA Congress was “International Arbitration and Economic Value: From Financial Strategy to Effective Enforcement”.
The round tables and presentations addressed both novel and more traditional issues that remain highly relevant, particularly those concerning or affecting the economic aspects of arbitration:
- The Economic Design of Arbitration: Cost Management
- Decisions on Costs: Compensation or Sanction?
- Digital Assets and Arbitration. Compliance and Enforcement: From the Award to Value
- LATAM 360° Perspective: Strategic Economics of Latin American Arbitration
The audience also had the opportunity to hear and discuss some of the “Cases of the Year.”
The Spanish and Ibero-American Arbitration Club (CEIA) is a non-profit organisation whose purpose is to promote arbitration and other dispute resolution methods in Spanish and Portuguese. The CEIA currently has more than 1,700 members in 43 countries and 32 International Chapters across Europe, the Americas and Asia.
